NEW Growth Groups Begin

WEDNESDAY NIGHT GROWTH GROUPS

6:00-7:15pm  |  Cost: $10

GROWTH GROUPS MARCH 19 THROUGH MAY 14

  • The Meaning of Marriage - Bryce and Karen Powers - Room 2225 FH
Modern culture would have you believe that everyone has a soul mate, that romance is the most important part of a successful marriage, that marriage does not mean "'til death do us part" but merely lasts as long as personal needs are being met, and that when serious differences arise, divorce is the best solution. However, all of these modern-day assumptions miss what marriage is truly about. Join Bryce and Karen Powers as they work through The Meaning of Marriage by Timothy Keller.

  • 8 Money Milestones - Marshall and Beth Biter - Room 2208 Parlor
Based on Art Rainer’s 8 Money Milestones, Marshall and Beth Biter discuss biblical financial principles with individuals and couples. Join them on the path to financial health and generous living. A milestone is an important marker on a journey. You can reach financial peace as you reach each milestone on your financial journey. Learn how to handle money God’s way!

  • Prepare Your Heart for God’s Word (Part Two) - Steve and Rachel Megyesi - Room 2232 FH
In the second book of the Navigator’s 2:7 Series, Deepening Your Roots in God’s Family, you will complete exercises that strengthen your spiritual foundation through enriching Bible study, Scripture memory, and group interaction. Join Steve and Rachel Megyesi as they guide your group in deepening your personal Christian life, exploring approaches to sharing your faith, and discovering fresh ways to experience extended time alone with God.

  • Luke in the Land - Tabitha Dowdy - Original Fellowship Hall
Join Women’s Ministry Director Tabitha Dowdy in this seven-session study on the Gospel of Luke, written by Kristi McLelland. This study will challenge the way you read the accounts of Jesus through teaching videos filmed on location in Israel—Bethlehem, the Sea of Galilee, Gethsemane, Jerusalem, and the road to Emmaus. Along the way, you'll gain a deeper understanding of how Jesus, the Messiah, brought His kingdom to earth for everyone.

  • 1, 2, 3 John - James Sanders - Room 2223 FH
Join James Sanders for an Exposition Commentary study through 1, 2, and 3 John, written by Daniel L. Akin. Rather than a verse-by-verse approach, this study presents key passages in an accessible and applicable way. You will learn to see Christ throughout Scripture and be encouraged by the devotional nature of this exposition.

  • Women in the Word - Debbie Farrell - Room 2230 FH
We all know it’s important to study God’s Word, but sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. A lack of time, emotionally driven approaches, and past frustrations can erode our resolve to grow in our knowledge of Scripture. Join Debbie Farrell in studying Women of the Word by Jen Wilkin. This study is designed to help Christian women stay focused and sustain their passion while reading the Bible.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT GROUPS

6:00-7:15pm | No Cost or Registration

  • Revival and Spiritual Awakening (Large Group) - Pastor Ronny - Grace Worship Center
Has God’s fire gone out? Join Pastor Ronny as we explore what God says about revival and spiritual awakening. This Bible study will ignite a passion in your soul for a fresh encounter with God. Throughout the pages of the Bible, the movement of God is revealed. His people drifted and sinned, leading to an urgent need for spiritual renewal. History unfolds many glorious examples of God’s activity, too. Is revival needed in our day? If so, will the Lord do it now? Let’s come together and ask the Lord to revive us again. May we experience a fresh movement of God, a downpour of His Holy Spirit! We hope you’ll join us for this timely study.

  • Students - Cole McCartney - Student Space
NextGen Pastor Cole McCartney will be looking at the life of David. If you are a student in grades 6 - 12, join other students, Cole, and student leaders for an inspiring time of worship, fellowship, and teaching.

  • Kids’ Night Children’s Ministry, Hope Building - 1st Floor
Join us at Kids Night for a high-energy mid-week ministry that encourages kids to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible Study, missions education, worship, and recreation games.

  • Preschool Wild Adventures, Grace Building - 1st Floor
Wild Adventures is our Wednesday night program where preschoolers rotate through Bible study, crafts, music and recreation to learn about the love of Jesus.

  • Hispanic Ministry - Nestor Martinez - Room 2120
Nestor Martinez will be teaching “The 12 Transgressions - Avoiding the Obstacles Preventing Us from Being More Like Christ.”

We are preparing for the FBC Week of Prayer and Fasting from Monday, September 30, 2024, to Sunday, October 6, 2024.

As their health permits, we ask people to fast at least one meal a day during this week. Also, take a portion of your day ( at least 4 to 6 hours) off from your electronic devices during this week. Each evening as we gather in the Grace Worship Center from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, we will sing praises to the Lord, read Scripture, pray, and hear testimonies of answered prayer.

Our Next Generation Pastor, Cole McCartney, will lead on Monday night with students who went to Mexico on the mission trip in July 2024. They will share wonderful testimonies of answered prayer. On Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, other members of our church will share their testimonies of answered prayers.

On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, a special activity will occur. Pastor Ronny and others will open the time capsule that was discovered when the deconstruction of the Education space and Chapel occurred. They will share the contents of the time capsule.

On Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 10:00 am at the lot next to the Faith Worship Center, we will pray for the Parking Lot to be sold.

Finally, on Sunday morning, October 6, 2024, from 8:15 am to 8:30 am, we will close out our week of prayer and fasting!
