A NOTE FROM PASTOR RONNY…
The end of summer is upon us. It's been a fruitful few months at FBC Clarksville. Through mission trips, camps, worship services, and special events, the grace of God has been on display. I'm still rejoicing over the baptisms of fourteen new believers in one week. Praise the Lord that He's still saving boys and girls, and men and women.
I hope you and your family enjoy the upcoming holiday. Church Offices will be closed on Monday, September 1. It'll be a day for our employees to take a break. I'm thankful for every person on our ministry team. I see unity, dedication, and sacrifice. These servants of the Lord are committed to helping our church worship God, love people, share Jesus, and make disciples. Thank you for your prayers, your encouragement, and your generosity. We love you!
I love our deacons! These men are ministry partners. We're better together. Beginning on Sunday, September 7th, you can nominate men to serve as deacons at FBC Clarksville. We have three Sundays set aside for nominations (September 7th, 14th, and 21st). You'll find nomination ballots around the Concourse and online. I encourage you to take the following three actions:
Pray for God's guidance and wisdom
Read my letter about deacon qualifications and duties
Nominate men who love the Lord and are faithful in His church
Our First Steps Membership Class is being held on Sunday, September 21st. We begin with lunch at the Steeple Landing (location may change due to the number of attendees). Following lunch, you'll hear from our ministry team and me. We'll talk about our church's history, vision, and ministries. You'll discover specific ways to be involved and serve. This class is for new members and anyone else who's interested in learning more about FBC Clarksville. At the end of the class, you can take a facilities tour. This helps you learn your way around our campus. You can sign up online or call the Church Office. We hope you'll join us.
I encourage you to pray for our three ministry interns (Marcos Crespo, Nick Fuqua, and Maddie Holt). We're seeking to call out the called and invest in ministry leaders of the "now" generation. God is using these young leaders. I can testify that the three of them have teachable spirits, a passion to serve, and a love for the Lord and His church. I'm encouraged by the church's present, and I'm hopeful for the church's future.
I began facilitating another seminary class this semester with Cole McCartney and Marcos Crespo. The two of them are seminary students at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. A call to ministry is a call to serve. Cole and Marcos are excellent students. It's an honor to help them in their seminary studies. I love seeing God raise up more and more ministry leaders. Church family, thank you for your prayers and support. As we invest in young people, we're planting trees for the future. I'm blessed to see the Lord at work.
Angie and I pray for you every morning. Thank you for your prayers and support.
We love you!
Pastor Ronny

WEDNESDAY NIGHT GROWTH GROUPS
6:00-7:15pm | Cost: $10
GROWTH GROUPS
Daring Joy (Women’s Study): Tabitha Dowdy Original Fellowship Hall (Mark Briggs’ Classroom)
In this 7-session Bible study, Nicole Zasowski draws from her experience as a licensed marriage and family therapist to point you to the enduring joy Jesus promises. Through the examples of six women in the Bible who model both the vulnerability of joy and the power of celebration, you’ll see that God longs for you to embrace abundant joy! Don’t miss out on your beautiful, God-given life because you’re busy preparing for the worst.
Full Circle Parenting: Travis and Licia Massa - Room 2230 FH
Parenting isn’t for wimps. It’s not just the routines, schedules, discipline, and heartaches—it’s the hard conversations. Using the 3 Circles gospel tool (God’s design; brokenness; gospel), Jimmy and Kristin Scroggins will give you a “conversation map” to work through any tough conversations you have with your children, and will show you how it works with topics such as gender, sexuality, and marriage, technology, alcohol and substance abuse, bitterness, forgiveness, and restoration, and friendship and mean kids.
Character Still Counts: Mike Madewell - Room 2234 FH
In a world of social media snapshots and cable news sound bites, we’re often more concerned with our outer image than we are with our inner make up. But in the end, integrity trumps image. You can look good on the outside without being good on the inside. If you long to commit yourself to what matters most—the content of your character—join bestselling author James Merritt as he explores 13 overlooked traits that form the bedrock of a godly life and a good society. Along the way, you’ll encounter surprising role models—flawed people who failed spectacularly, overcame adversity, and went on to live lives worth imitating. In a world that has abandoned the virtues and values that matter, this book offers a clarion call to return to a simple message: Character still counts. It always has, and it always will.
The Man Journey (ReUp Men’s Study): Ron Pendergrass - The Loft
The Man Journey is a 12-week focus on discovering the answer to the vital questions… What Is A Biblical Man? The Man Journey will take you on a discovery of the three truths of a Biblical man and gain a clear definition of biblical masculinity. The Man Journey is a weekly experience where you discover the essentials of biblical manhood taught through video teaching, digital or printed content, and grow discussions that build authentic community.
Learn more and sign up at fbct.org/growthgroups.

POEM
LEFT FOREVER UNSAID
(Author Unknown)
If all that we say in a single day,
With never a word left out
Were printed each night
In clear black and white
‘Twould prove strange reading, no doubt.
And then, just suppose,
Ere our eyes we could close,
We must read the whole record through;
Then wouldn’t we sigh,
And wouldn’t we try
A great deal less talking to do?
And I more than half think
That many a kink
Would be smoother in life’s tangled thread
If half that we say in a single day
Were left forever unsaid.

We’d love for you to like and follow us on social media! It’s a great way to stay up-to-date and connected with our First Family! When you visit us for in-church worship, we’d love for you to check-in! This is a great way to invite others to join you! Or if you’re at home or in-person, take a photo of what worship looks like where you’re at and who you’re with and tag us!
