A NOTE FROM PASTOR RONNY…
It's finally fall in Tennessee. This time of the year displays the creativity, power, and splendor of God. The colors are breathtaking. October is a wonderful time of the year for FBC Clarksville, too.
This month, here are three major ministries at our church. I appeal to you to pray and ask God for His blessings and favor.
Pastors' Retreat
I'm hosting another Iron Sharpens Iron Pastors' Retreat. I love investing in pastors. I learn a great deal from these men, too. I'm thankful for our deacon body providing the financial resources to make the retreat happen. You can be involved in the retreat by praying for the participating pastors, their families, and the churches they serve.
Here are the names of the pastors:

JD Thorne
Wife: Corrie
Church: Antioch Baptist Church (Decatur, Alabama)
As we prepare for the retreat and the arrival of these servants, I invite you to pray for them, their families, and their churches. Specifically, please pray for:
1. Family Members. Pray for their wives and families during their absence, that they would experience peace and protection.
2. Teachable Hearts. Pray for a spirit of openness and a hunger for God's truth in each session.
3. Safe Travels. Pray for safe travels as they travel to and from our campus.
4. New Relationships. Pray for the formation of meaningful new relationships that will extend beyond the retreat.
5. Personal Encouragement. Pray that they will leave refreshed and encouraged for the work ahead.
6. Retreat Speakers. Pray for each speaker to deliver the Lord's message with clarity and power.
7. Spiritual Breakthroughs. Pray for divine encounters and wisdom regarding the future of their ministries.
8. Honest Conversations. Pray for a safe and transparent environment where they can share openly.
9. Needed Rest. Pray for moments of relaxation and refreshment during their time here.
10. God's Touch. Pray for powerful, "holy ground" moments that will impact their lives, marriages, and ministries.
Journeys of Paul
Our Journeys of Paul trip is approaching. We're days away from walking the streets of Athens, Corinth, Ephesus, and Rome. Angie and I are prayerfully excited to travel with our group. We'll study God's Word together every day. I encourage you to pray for the following items:
Safe travel
Healthy relationships
Teachable spirits
Gospel conversations
No injuries
Spiritual growth
God's glory
Evening of Prayer and Praise
Our Evening of Prayer and Praise is on Sunday, October 5. It'll take place in the Grace Worship Center from 5:00-7:00 pm. We'll sing inspiring songs, share God's Word, pray like it matters, be still before the Lord, and observe the Lord's Supper. God loves for His people to spend time with Him. That's the spiritual focus of the evening. I hope you'll make it a priority to attend and participate.
On behalf of the ministry team and me, thank you for your prayers, love, and support. We're blessed to serve the Lord with you.
Angie and I love you. We're praying for you with affection and in faith. May this be a glorious season for our church!
Blessings,
Pastor Ronny

MEMBERSHIP AND GIVING TOOLS
Fellowship, Worship and Discipleship are fundamental to an obedient life in Christ. First Baptist Church maintains several tools to help us stay connected, share and offer the sacrifice of praise, and grow together. Scroll to the bottom of the home page at fbct.org and click on "app" to see options for adding these tools to your phone or other device. You can use these tools to stay connected to your discipleship group, contact the church, watch past worship services and sermons, as well as support the FBC financially as the Lord directs for you and your family. There are even instructions for how to access these tools using your web browser.
Using these apps, updating your profile information to share with the church is easy. When changes occur in your family life such as a move to a new home, change in email address, etc. you can update your information to be sure that our communication with you is efficient. You can even add a picture to make it easier for your church family to put a name with a face!
Information about any groups that might be of interest to you, such as Connect Groups, teams, committees, etc will be available as well. Group Leaders can use the tools to take attendance online and access other features. You can contact the church through the app, read messages from group members/leaders and browse the church directory.
Check out fbct.org/app for instructions on how to get the app and reach the membership and giving website.
FRIDAYS - DAY OF PRAYER

A new prayer guide will be posted at fbct.org/pray each Thursday to help direct your prayer time. Every day is a day for us to pray. We are reminded to continually be in a spirit of prayer.
2 Chronicles 7:14 ”And my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”

Entering Kindergarten Bible Ceremony
September 28, 2025
On Sunday, September 28, 2025, we were honored to present many of our kindergartners with a Bible of their very own. This meaningful milestone was celebrated together with their families as we prayed for these children and encouraged them to grow in God’s Word. It was a special day filled with joy, faith, and the reminder of the important role parents and the church family share in building a foundation of faith.

In keeping with our policy to follow the CMCSS calendar, the Preschool Ministry is closed during Fall Break for all daytime activities. Please note that there will be no Wild Adventures on Wednesday October 15 or First Learners Preschool on Tuesday, October 14 or Thursday October 16.
Noah’s Ark Day
September 14, 2025
Preschoolers dressed as owls, cows, butterflies, and all sorts of animals had a delightful time learning the story of Noah and the Ark, discovering in such a memorable way that God always keeps His promises! A special shout-out to our FBCT 4th graders who dressed up as animals to bring the story to life with such enthusiasm. A huge thank you to all our dedicated Sunday morning Connect Leaders, SMILES Volunteers, and “Noah’s”, your faithful teaching each week makes a lasting difference, filling our preschoolers’ hearts with God’s truths and joy.
Community Helper Week!
September 18, 2025
We are incredibly blessed to have such dedicated and hardworking community helpers in Clarksville. To our nurses, doctors, farmers, military, teachers, police officers, sheriff's department, construction workers, and so many others—thank you for the countless ways you serve our community with care, protection, and love.
We are especially grateful for the time you spent at First Learners Preschool, teaching our children about the importance of your roles and how you help keep us safe, healthy, and thriving. Your visit made a meaningful impact on our preschoolers, and we deeply appreciate your willingness to share your experiences with them.
Most importantly, we are reminded to lift up a heartfelt "Thank You" to God for gifting us such wonderful community helpers. Every day, you make a difference, and we are so grateful!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT GROWTH GROUPS
6:00-7:15pm | Cost: $10
GROWTH GROUPS
Daring Joy (Women’s Study): Tabitha Dowdy Original Fellowship Hall (Mark Briggs’ Classroom)
In this 7-session Bible study, Nicole Zasowski draws from her experience as a licensed marriage and family therapist to point you to the enduring joy Jesus promises. Through the examples of six women in the Bible who model both the vulnerability of joy and the power of celebration, you’ll see that God longs for you to embrace abundant joy! Don’t miss out on your beautiful, God-given life because you’re busy preparing for the worst.
Full Circle Parenting: Travis and Licia Massa - Room 2230 FH
Parenting isn’t for wimps. It’s not just the routines, schedules, discipline, and heartaches—it’s the hard conversations. Using the 3 Circles gospel tool (God’s design; brokenness; gospel), Jimmy and Kristin Scroggins will give you a “conversation map” to work through any tough conversations you have with your children, and will show you how it works with topics such as gender, sexuality, and marriage, technology, alcohol and substance abuse, bitterness, forgiveness, and restoration, and friendship and mean kids.
Character Still Counts: Mike Madewell - Room 2234 FH
In a world of social media snapshots and cable news sound bites, we’re often more concerned with our outer image than we are with our inner make up. But in the end, integrity trumps image. You can look good on the outside without being good on the inside. If you long to commit yourself to what matters most—the content of your character—join bestselling author James Merritt as he explores 13 overlooked traits that form the bedrock of a godly life and a good society. Along the way, you’ll encounter surprising role models—flawed people who failed spectacularly, overcame adversity, and went on to live lives worth imitating. In a world that has abandoned the virtues and values that matter, this book offers a clarion call to return to a simple message: Character still counts. It always has, and it always will.
The Man Journey (ReUp Men’s Study): Ron Pendergrass - The Loft
The Man Journey is a 12-week focus on discovering the answer to the vital questions… What Is A Biblical Man? The Man Journey will take you on a discovery of the three truths of a Biblical man and gain a clear definition of biblical masculinity. The Man Journey is a weekly experience where you discover the essentials of biblical manhood taught through video teaching, digital or printed content, and grow discussions that build authentic community.

You are a rare bird if you have not complained, or heard someone else complain, about drivers/driving in Clarksville recently. A new study has identified the silliest and most common mistakes drivers make; I bet you can list several more!
1. Putting breakables on the seat; PUT THEM ON THE FLOOR OR IN THE TRUNK!
2. Putting gas in a diesel car, or vice versa; If YOU’RE LUCKY, YOU’LL BREAK DOWN AT HOME AND IT WON’T COST TOO MUCH TO FIX THE ENGINE!
3. Losing your vehicle in a parking lot.
4. Parking too close to the next car.
5. Starting with the car in gear; THIS CAN CAUSE A HAZARD TO YOUR CAR, YOU, AND YOUR SURROUNDINGS.
6. Parking under trees; BAD FOR YOUR PAINT JOB, BUT THE BIRDS WON’T MIND.
7. Losing the keys; GET A DESIGNATED SPOT FOR THEM AND DON’T FORGET IT!
8. Yellow at traffic lights seems to be the new “GO!”
9. Drivers have forgotten what the turn signal lever is for.
Reaching for an object increases car crash chances by eight times. Texting or reading a text takes the driver’s eyes off the road for 5 seconds. (I think it’s longer than that!). Texting and driving is eight times more likely to lead to an accident than driving drunk. Every day, more than 1,000 people experience injuries due to distracted driving crashes.
Following the laws of the road and extending common courtesy to fellow drivers would make driving more pleasurable and less dangerous!
We have a display case outside the library that we would like to invite you to exhibit your personal collection (hobby) if you would like to share it with your fellow church members. The case can be locked if necessary. The library is on the third floor at the head of the steps from the church dining room in room 2326.
Above is a picture of my small collection of tea pots.

We’d love for you to like and follow us on social media! It’s a great way to stay up-to-date and connected with our First Family! When you visit us for in-church worship, we’d love for you to check-in! This is a great way to invite others to join you! Or if you’re at home or in-person, take a photo of what worship looks like where you’re at and who you’re with and tag us!
