A NOTE FROM PASTOR RONNY…
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
You're a generous church. Your generosity allows us to proclaim the gospel and serve the Lord. Here are many ways your giving is making a difference:
Vacation Bible School. We welcomed hundreds of boys and girls on our campus for VBS. The gospel was shared. The kids had a blast. Our leaders and workers gave their best. Decisions for Jesus were made.
Student Camp. Our leaders and students had an amazing time in Florida. Camp experiences allow students to hear the gospel, surrender to God's call, and build healthy relationships with peers. It's beneficial to pull away from the routines of life and spend time with the Lord.
Southern Baptist Convention. Our messengers represented the church well. These men and women attended sessions and voted. The hours every day were long. It was a blessing to be in Dallas with them.
Mexico Pastors' Conference. God moved in the lives of pastors and their wives. Our team encouraged God's servants and loved them dearly. It's amazing to see our church serve with a kingdom vision.
SLU 101. Our leaders and students travel to Orlando for this leadership experience. We're intentional about investing in the coming generation. God is using these young people to advance His kingdom agenda.
Mission Trips. We have people from our church serving all over the world. Young people are making much of Jesus in various nations. Other groups are ministering in Clarkston, Georgia, and New York City.
Kid's Camp. Our leaders and kids travel to Kentucky, for another year of camp. This experience allows kids to worship Jesus, study the Bible, have fun, build relationships, play games, and eat ice cream.
Music Camp. We'll welcome many boys and girls to our campus soon for music camp. It's a joy to see kids learning speaking parts, singing songs, and leading us in worship. FBC is blessed with many generations.
Our giving is making an eternal difference!
Angie, six other FBC messengers, and I were honored to represent you at the Southern Baptist Convention in Dallas, Texas. It was a privilege, and here are my ten key takeaways from this year's annual meeting:
1. We love to come together and sing faithful songs and hear biblical preaching. The pastors’ conference continues to be a favorite for many messengers and guests.
2. The NAMB luncheon and the IMB Sending Celebration continue to be a highlight for people. It’s healthy to relax, laugh, and cry. Fifty-eight new missionaries were sent to the nations.
3. It was healthy and timely to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Cooperative Program and the Baptist Faith and Message. 1925 was a historic year for Southern Baptists.
4. The church must recruit, disciple, and mobilize God’s people for short-term mission involvement. Every one of the fifty-eight missionaries sent talked about short-term missions.
5. We need to agree from a biblical perspective on what it means to be a pastor (title, function, gender). We use three words currently…pastor, overseer, and elder. This is an issue every year.
6. We must focus on a pastor’s health for efficiency and longevity. GuideStone reports that one-third of ministers say they’re not well. A pastor needs to start well, stay well, and finish well.
7. The world’s greatest problem is lostness. 166,338 people die every day without Jesus. 11,803 volunteers served with the IMB. 68,628 people were baptized. We started 2,409 new churches.
8. We need to be encouraged by the current trends in SBC life. Baptisms are up. New church plants are up. More candidates are in the IMB pipeline. Church attendance is up.
9. We must maintain and protect our identity. We believe in the Bible. We evangelize. We send missionaries. We plant, replant, and revitalize churches. We’re better together. Unity matters.
10. I appreciate and respect the many leaders who are leading our SBC entities. God has placed key servant leaders in places of influence “for such a time as this.” Let’s pray for them.
Next year's annual meeting is in Orlando, Florida (June 7-10). We'll be looking for messengers and guests early in 2026.
As we celebrate our nation's birthday in a few days, let's thank the Lord for the many brave men and women who have served and are currently serving our country. I'm also especially grateful for our military ministry.
Angie and I love you!
Blessings,
Pastor Ronny

VBS RECAP
VBS 2025: Magnified – A Week of Big Fun and Even Bigger Faith!
This year’s Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church Clarksville was truly magnified! From June 16–20, our church was filled with laughter, learning, and the joyful noise of over 600 children and volunteers discovering the bigness of God in the smallest of things.
Throughout the week, kids zoomed in on God’s love through engaging Bible stories, energetic worship rallies, exciting games, creative crafts, and hands-on mission moments. Each day reminded us that even the tiniest butterfly or flower petal reveals God’s intentional design and great love.
Our mission focus supported the Good News Clubs at Norman Smith and Rossview Elementary Schools, and our VBS kids raised over $6,000—with the boys winning the friendly giving competition for the first time in eight years! That meant Pastor Ronny and Mrs. Tabitha both ended the week with bright pink hair—a sight the kids won’t forget anytime soon!
We are deeply thankful for the incredible team of volunteers who gave their time, energy, vacations, and hearts to serve. From classroom teachers to snack servers, security helpers to worship leaders, every volunteer helped point kids to the truth that God sees, knows, loves, saves, and sends them. Their dedication and joyful service made an eternal difference, and we are so grateful!
It is our joy and calling as a church family to share the good news of Jesus Christ to the next generation. VBS remains one of our most effective tools to do just that. We praise God for every seed planted, every heart stirred, and every child who experienced Jesus' love during VBS Magnified.
To God be the glory for all He did—and is still doing—at FBCT and through VBS Magnified!

Calling on the super-powered fruits of the spirit available to every follower of Christ, these heroes must face an enemy within their ranks when Ironblade forgets his superhero identity (self-control) and becomes entangled in the pervasive worldly culture. Things worsen when they learn that the entire group faces the same fate unless each member continues to exhibit their gifts! Will the League recover its powers? Will the citizens of Suburbia City be saved? Will the source of true power – God’s Word – finally be utilized before time runs out? Find out in the latest release from Word Kids, The Agape League: Superheroes of the Spirit! Acclaimed children’s writer Christy Semsen has delivered another high-powered production that is super-sized in every way: a high-octane story, clever dialogue, dynamic contemporary songs, and uncompromising spiritual truth.

WILD ABOUT WILDLIFE MONTH
2 World UFO Day
4 U.S. Independence Day, known colloquially as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States which commemorates the ratification of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America. The Founding Father delegates of the Second Continental Congress declared that the Thirteen Colonies were no longer subject (and subordinate) to the monarch of Britain, King George III, and were now united, free, and independent states. The Congress voted to approve independence by passing the Lee Resolution on July 2 and adopted the Declaration of Independence two days later, on July 4.
