A NOTE FROM PASTOR RONNY…

Ronny+and+Angie+Raines+3.jpg

Christmas has arrived at FBC Clarksville!

I invite you to stroll through the concourse and delight yourself in the beauty and message of the Christmas trees. Each tree tells a unique story of God's love and grace.

As you admire these beautiful trees, let's remember the true reason for the season: the birth of Jesus Christ. I appreciate Helen, her dedicated team of volunteers, and our staff members who helped this year. Your creativity will bless many people this Christmas.

The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is upon us. This year, we're aiming to raise $25,000. I believe we can surpass that goal and make a significant impact on the global mission of Southern Baptists.

As we approach the Christmas season, let's not forget the world's greatest need: lost souls. By giving generously, we're investing in God's servants. Your gift will empower missionaries to share the love of Christ in remote corners of the globe.

As we address this urgent need, let's remember our church's five-fold mission strategy:

  • Pray

  • Give

  • Go

  • Send

  • Educate

I'm grateful to Jason Johnson and our mission team for their devoted leadership. In early January, you'll have the opportunity to learn about exciting 2025 mission trip opportunities. We want you to be enlisted, equipped, engaged, and empowered to spread the gospel from your neighborhood to the nations.

I'm launching a new sermon series in December entitled, JESUS! He is Savior, Servant, Sender, and Shepherd. I'm excited to gather with you and exalt our glorious Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

On Sunday, December 22, we'll celebrate the Lord's Supper. As we gather around the Lord's Table, let's remember the incredible sacrifice Jesus made for us. He loves you and me deeply. He gave His life for our salvation, and He has defeated death and the grave. He assures us of an eternal home with Him, where we'll see Him face to face (Revelation 22:4). It's time to rejoice!

On Tuesday, December 24, we'll gather at 5:00 pm in the Grace Worship Center for our special Christmas Eve worship service. It's always an amazing worship experience, filled with your favorite songs, God's Word, and candlelight. Invite your family, friends, neighbors, and community members to join us as we lift high the grace, love, and glory of Jesus.

2024 has been a landmark year for First Baptist Clarksville. I'm grateful for our dedicated staff team. I'm humbled to serve alongside our deacons and workers. We couldn't do ministry without you. I'm overwhelmed by the grace and goodness of our heavenly Father. He's called us to serve Him faithfully.

Angie and I want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas! We love you, and we're thankful for your prayers and kindness.

As we look ahead to 2025, I'm excited to see what God has in store for us. Let's continue to embrace God's mission and vision together.

Blessings,
Pastor Ronny

Daniel & the Lions’ Den

On Sunday, November 17th, something truly extraordinary happened in our Preschool Ministry-it was transformed into a vibrant den of little lions! Dressed in their most adorable lion costumes, our preschoolers embarked on a thrilling biblical adventure, diving into the story of Daniel & the Lions’ Den. It was a day filled with fun, learning, and lots of roaring!

Our special highlight was a visit from “Daniel”! In his captivating storytelling, he brought the ancient narrative to life, showing our little lions how faith and trust in God can lead to miraculous outcomes. Through this immersive experience, our children didn’t just hear about Daniel’s courage and God’s faithfulness; they felt a part of the story. It was a day where faith met fun, and lessons were learned amidst laughter.

We are proud of our little lions for their enthusiastic participation and of our ministry team leaders for creating such an unforgettable experience. This event was not just a day of play – it was a day where our children learned about bravery, faith, and the power of trust in a way they will remember for years to come.

Stay tuned for more exciting adventures in our Preschool Ministry.

Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:29-31, ESV)

Wednesday Night D-CONNECT GROUPS (6:00pm):

  • Pastor’s Study, Grace Worship Center, Led by Dr. Ronny Raines
Pastor Ronny is going through an overview of the Bible where a different book of the Bible is taught each Wednesday night.

  • Hispanic Bible Study, Room 2120, Led by Nestor Martinez

  • Revelation by Jen Wilkin, Room 2327, Led by Debbie Farrell
Perhaps no other book of the Bible feels as inaccessible and as intimidating to us as the very last one. The book of Revelation overflows with images and ideas that confound our modern ears. But if all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable, we should assume Revelation is as accessible and helpful as any other book of the Bible. Why don’t we see it that way?
Two thousand years ago, John’s Revelation was circulated and read aloud among seven churches in Asia Minor. Those who heard the letter understood it and drew encouragement from its message. The same can be true for you today. Over 10 sessions of verse-by-verse Bible study, Jen Wilkin helps you discover how the last book of the Bible—the culmination of God’s great story—speaks both a steadying word of assurance and a strong call to endure to the church in every age
