A NOTE FROM PASTOR RONNY…
This time of the year shouts new life. Trees are budding; flowers are blooming; and the grass is growing. Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. The four seasons we enjoy (or endure) in Tennessee, remind us of life. Our lives and church have seasons. There's a time to plant, a time to grow, a time to gather, and a time to rest. I'm excited for this season of life at FBC Clarksville.
Here are several major events and ministries this month:
Increase in Baptisms
2026 has been a blessed year so far. We're seeing more and more people surrender their lives to Jesus and follow Him in believer's baptism. To the glory of God, we've baptized over twenty new believers this year. Our mission is to help each new believer find and participate in one of our Sunday morning Connect Groups. FBC Clarksville exists to worship God, love people, share Jesus, and make disciples. We love our Bible study groups. We desire for every member to be in a group for fellowship and spiritual growth. We need one another in the Christian life. Let's keep praying and turning everyday conversations into gospel conversations. Jesus still saves!
Good Friday Service
We've been offering this worship experience for the past several years. What a joy to sing about the cross of Jesus Christ! We'll slow down and observe the Lord's Supper. It's powerful to eat the bread and drink the cup in remembrance of Him. I plan to preach a sermon from God's Word on this question: "Why is Good Friday Good?" The worship experience begins at noon on April 3rd in the Grace Worship Center. Invite someone to come with you.
Resurrection Sunday Services
Church attendance is a big deal on Easter Sunday. Here is our schedule for April 5th: Connect Groups at 9:00 am. Two worship services at 7:30 am and 10:30 am. As you know, gathering with God's people matters every week of the year. Here are five ways you can pray for Resurrection Sunday:
Pray for God's people to celebrate the truth that Jesus is alive.
Pray for the gospel to be proclaimed in baptisms, song, and sermon.
Pray for the Greeters to be friendly and helpful to guests.
Pray for people who've been invited to come.
Pray for guests to see the value of a local church family.
As we gather on Resurrection Sunday, let's come onto the campus already worshiping. I appeal for you to talk with our heavenly Father, read His Word, and come with an expectant heart. The Risen Lord wants to change and transform our lives. I also invite you to come with a flexible spirit. You may find someone parked in your "normal spot." You may find guests seated in your "regular seats." Instead of being "bent out of shape," praise the Lord that guests (new people) are on our campus and in the room, hearing about Jesus, our Risen Savior and Lord.
Serve Clarksville
It's almost time to leave the building and serve our community. Jason Johnson and his team have led and put together many projects for the church to serve. As we engage our community, our prayer is to love people and share Jesus. We're not asking people for donations; we're serving them in the name of Jesus. The early church in Acts scattered and shared Jesus. We desire to model their behavior. There's still time to sign up and serve. You can do so online anytime, or you can fill out a form in the Concourse when you're on campus. Let's show our community how much we love Jesus and them.
Marriage Matters
Every spring, we seek to invest in marriages. This year, our Marriage Matters Sunday is April 19th. Dr. Hershael York (professor at Southern Seminary) will preach for me that Sunday morning. In the afternoon from 3:00-5:00 pm, we'll have two sessions for couples. Dr. York and his wife, Tanya, will lead those sessions. The Yorks lead marriage conferences frequently. You'll be blessed by their biblical insights, personal transparency, and spiritual investment. There's no cost or registration needed for the event. The afternoon sessions will be held in the Fellowship Hall. We'll offer snacks, coffee, tea, and water that afternoon, too. I encourage you to mark the date and times on your calendar. We'd love for you to attend and make an investment in your marriage relationship.
As you can tell, this is an exciting month at FBC Clarksville. May Jesus move greatly as we make much of Him in all we do!
Angie and I love you!
He is Risen,
Pastor Ronny

Preschool
Easter 2026
Easter Sunday is such a joyful and meaningful celebration in our Preschool ministry! Our little ones will delight in decorating a cross with beautiful flowers—a hands-on reminder that Jesus is Alive!
They’ll also step into the wonder of the Easter story as they visit an “empty tomb,” bringing this incredible moment to life in a way that’s fun, engaging, and unforgettable. Every part of the morning is filled with joy, laughter, and hearts discovering the love of Jesus in a real and personal way.
We would absolutely love for your preschooler to be part of all the excitement! Join us this Easter Sunday at 7:30am, 9:00am or 10:30am at First Baptist church where little hearts are nurtured and big truths are shared in ways they can understand. There will be a class for babies to completed kindergarten during all three hours on Easter Sunday.
In the weeks ahead, our preschoolers will continue the adventure learning about the early church, and people like Paul, Lydia, and Timothy. We want them to grow in their faith and love for God each week.
Come experience the joy, the laughter, and the love! We can’t wait to welcome you.
ANNIE ARMSTRONG EASTER OFFERING
Our preschool ministry is part of a church with a rich missionary heritage. For many years, we have been praying, giving, going, sending, and teaching others about sharing the love of Jesus.
This April, we have a special opportunity to involve even our youngest hearts in missions through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. This offering supports missionaries across North America—and 100% of every dollar given goes directly to help them share the gospel.
One of the sweetest ways we can begin teaching our preschoolers about missions is by inviting them to be part of giving. Whether it’s collecting coins, saying a simple prayer for missionaries, or talking together as a family about how others are learning about Jesus, these small moments help plant big seeds of faith.
We encourage your family to prayerfully consider how you can be part of what God is doing. Thank you for helping us raise children who are learning to love Jesus and share His love with others
Preschoolers will be making an Annie Armstrong bank to collect their offering. The Preschool offering goal is $150.00.
Thank you for supporting God's work outside the walls of FBCT!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT GROWTH GROUPS
Wednesdays | 6:00-7:15pm
THE BOOK OF COLOSSIANS - (NO COST)
Teacher: David Orth – Room# 2232
What we believe about Jesus shapes everything—our thoughts, our words, our relationships, and our faith in action. In Colossians, we encounter the breathtaking truth of Christ’s supremacy over all creation and His sufficiency as Savior. If our view of Jesus becomes small, our theology and daily walk will suffer. Join us as we study this powerful letter and deepen our understanding of who Christ truly is—and what that means for how we live.THE WAY OF WISDOM - COST $10
Teacher: Tabitha Dowdy – Original Fellowship Hall
Proverbs presents wisdom as a path that leads to life and flourishing, while folly leads to ruin. Every day we choose between the lasting riches of God’s instruction and the empty promises of worldly pursuits. How often do we seek the wisdom of Scripture to guide our decisions, relationships, and priorities? In this study, we’ll rediscover the timeless relevance of Proverbs and learn how to walk faithfully in the fear of the Lord—the beginning of true wisdom.LET’S GET REAL: BRINGING AUTHENTICITY AND WHOLENESS TO YOUR MARRIAGE - COST $10
Teachers: Bryce & Karen Powers – Room# 2225
In a world filled with pressure and pretense, God calls marriages to something deeper—authenticity, unity, and wholeness. This study is designed to help couples grow in honest communication, spiritual intimacy, and Christ-centered love. Together, we’ll explore practical biblical principles that strengthen relationships and renew connection. Come ready to be encouraged, challenged, and equipped to pursue a marriage that reflects God’s design and grace.

Stop by to register at Missions Landing, one of the tables in our Grace Concourse, or online. We will have around 20 different ministry projects for you and your family to consider. Learn more at fbct.org/serveclarksville.
ANNIE ARMSTRONG EASTER OFFERING AND WEEK OF PRAYER
On March 29, we began our emphasis on North American mission work. First, we are calling our church to pray. You will find a prayer guide at Missions Landing or at each location, where you will find sermon notes. Second, we are challenging our church to give to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. This offering is an annual offering collected by Southern Baptist Churches to support North American missions. Every dollar given to this offering supports the work of thousands of our missionaries. Our church giving goal is $25,000. You can give to this offering by using one of the Annie Armstrong offering envelopes or give online through our church website. You can also learn more about the mission work being done by visiting namb.net.

The True Easter Story
Read Matthew 27-28 and decide if each statement is true or false. Change the false statements with the correct words to make them true.
1. The soldiers dressed Jesus in a blue military robe.
2. They placed a crown of thorns on His head.
3. A man named Paul carried the cross of Jesus.
4. The cross was placed on a hill called Golgotha, meaning Place of the Skull.
5. From noon until 3 PM, bright sunlight shone across the land.
6. Joseph of Arimathea took the body of Jesus and placed it in his tomb.
7. A fence was placed around the tomb.
8. Jesus rose from the grave on the third day.

Bake Resurrection Rolls
1 package crescent rolls
Melted butter
Large marshmallows
Cinnamon sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Each triangle of rolls represents the cloth Jesus was wrapped in. The marshmallow represents Jesus (and His purity). Dip the marshmallow in the butter and cinnamon sugar, representing His body being anointed. Wrap the coated marshmallow tightly in the crescent roll with all sides closed around it (so marshmallow doesn’t leak out). Bake 10-12 minutes, with the oven representing the tomb. When the rolls have cooled, children will discover the marshmallows are gone, and the tomb is empty!

Help Them Grow
Suggestions to encourage children in their spiritual growth.
1. Let them see and hear you: reading the Bible, praying, attending church.
2. Involve them in church.
3. Read the Bible together, talk to them about it, show them how it relates to their life.
4. Listen to their questions, let them know it’s ok to ask questions and to be unsure.
5. Guide them in their relationships and interact with their friends.
6. Make it a priority to pray for them.
The American Family Association is cautioning parents across the country to shield their children from a Disney-produced cartoon LITTLE DEMON which immerses kids in a show where the lead character, 13-year-old Chrissy (Her name is an obvious mockery of “Christ.”), is the Antichrist—the daughter of Satan and Chrissy’s human mother. Sold as a comedy, the content is too vile to even mention.
BOOK SPOTLIGHT
SIX HOURS ONE FRIDAY by Max Lucado
Some books don’t just get read—they stay with you, speak to your heart, and gently draw you closer to God. Six Hours One Friday is one of those special books.
In this simple yet deeply moving read, Max Lucado reflects on the final six hours of Jesus’ life—hours that changed everything for all of us. With his signature warmth and clarity, he shares three powerful truths that we can hold onto, especially in difficult seasons: our lives are not futile, our failures are not fatal, and our death is not final.
Through relatable stories, meaningful illustrations, and vivid imagery, he brings Scripture to life in a way that feels both personal and easy to understand. You don’t have to be a big reader to connect with this book—it meets you right where you are and gently draws you in.
One of the most comforting themes throughout the book is the reminder to “anchor deep” in our faith. When life feels uncertain or overwhelming, we are invited to hold firmly to the truth of what Jesus accomplished on the Cross—finding hope, forgiveness, and a renewed sense of purpose.
