Q: Why should I give to a local church?

A: The local church is God's instrument to help spread the gospel locally and globally.  The church operates under the great Commission, "Go therefore into all nations..." and the Great Commandment, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind..."  By giving to the local church, a person is following the will of the Lord. 

Q: Where does my contribution go?

A: Contributions, to the church, go to support the on-going ministries and programs of First Baptist.  From Preschool to Senior Adults, from Worship to Discipling, and from missions work to local operations, any contribution to the church is guided by the Finance Committee of the church.

Contributions to our Find Us Faithful Still building program go 100% toward the principal balance of the loan, the church pays all interest from the operating budget.

Contributions to the World Mission Offering go to support our Southern Baptist missionaries and other mission endeavors of the church. 

Q: Is online giving safe?

A: Our website processes online giving in such a way that none of your giving information is stored on our web servers.  This provides a very secure transaction.  Once you submit your information, it is instantly sent to our payment processors using the best in internet encrypting and security.

Q: What about automatic or recurring giving?

A: In order to provided the safest and most secure way to register for automatic giving, please download and print the form provided below.  Once you have filled out the form, please bring or mail it to the First Baptist Church offices.  Office hours are 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.  You can also mail the form to First Baptist Church at 435 Madison St, Clarksville, TN 37040.

Q: Who do I contact to stop recurring giving?

A: You can contact our Bookkeeper by calling the church offices at (931) 645-2431.

Q: Can I give online using a check card?

A: Yes.  You must register and be logged in to do so.
